As we're all spending a lot more time at home lately it's a great time to start looking after our bodies by integrating some yoga into our routine. Contrary to popular belief you do not need designer leggings and a dancers body to start doing yoga. All you need is your body and, ideally, a yoga mat. Of course there are a range of props and accessories that can come in handy to support you in poses, and make you feel more of a bona fide yogi, but really the most important thing is you.
Can't touch your toes?
These are all reasons to start yoga! You don't even need to go to a public class to get started, check out our favourite YouTube yogi Adriene Mishler and get to work in the comfort of your own home. You can practice in fancy work out gear, your pjs or even your birthday suit, just don't forget to close the blinds...
We've linked to a playlist of beginners videos below, and once you get going you'll find all kinds of awesome practices to try. Check out a range of videos built to support the body's movement in specific activities including yoga for climbers, yoga for surfers, yoga for swimmers, yoga for cyclists and of course runners yoga.
As Adriene herself would say, hop into something comfy and lets get started...Ekta Agarwal
